Members of Roseau River and surrounding communities gathered at Roseau River Park on May 30 for the third annual Family Fun Fest.
The event ran from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and featured activities for all ages, including barrel rides, a sand pile, a kids zone, a maker's market, a car show, an amateur BBQ competition, face painting, henna tattoos, a silent auction and a 50/50 draw.
Roseau River Park board member Charlie McDonald said the event is designed to bring people together while remaining accessible for families.
"So for us, it's bringing the community together from all walks of life. We want to make something that everyone can attend and we want to keep it affordable," she said. "So, you'll see we have very good affordable canteen prices and we like to have a lot of free activities for families to do,"

McDonald said months of planning and the efforts of many volunteers go into making the event a success each year. She also thanked community members from both Roseau River and neighbouring communities for their continued support.
"If it wasn't for volunteers, none of this would happen. So, thank you to the volunteers and the community from near and far," she said.
The annual Family Fun Fest continues to grow as a celebration of community spirit, family fun and connecting people in Roseau River.
