Investigation is underway into a series of what the RCMP says are suspicious fires that happened over the last few days in Morris.
We told you about the first two last week where a small jacket had been placed near the intersection of Main Street and Charles Avenue and set on fire around 11 p.m. Friday evening.
Fire fighters arrived but the fire was already out.
No damage was reported.
That same evening, at around midnight, officers responded to a reported fire at a church on Main Street.
Fire fighters had extinguished a small fire in a tree and near a statue on the front lawn.
Police say a window of the church was found to be cracked due to the heat from the close proximity of the fire, but no other damage was noted.
Then around 11:30 Monday evening, police were called to a suspicious vehicle behind a business, when they noticed flames coming from the rear of a business on Charles Street West.
Officers used a fire extinguisher until the local fire department arrived.
Initial investigation indicates a mattress that was leaning against a shed had been lit on fire.
Police say no one was injured in any of the incidents.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the Morris RCMP at 204-746-6355 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.
