A child received minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in Grunthal.
St. Pierre RCMP were called to the scene at 6:15 p.m. Police say it appears that a 10-year-old girl had activated the crosswalk lights and then quickly ran across the road, failing to allow time for the traffic to stop.
According to RCMP, she was struck by an eastbound vehicle, driven by a 61-year-old male from Grunthal. Police say he stopped and remained at the scene.
EMS attended and treated the child. Police say she suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The investigation continues.
